Room description
Bedroom #1 available. $330 per week. Bedroom #2 available $380 per week. Fully furnished; includes bedding and towels. Hostel-like bookings also available: $65 per night (3 night minimum). Can serve 2 single folks with two single mattresses in one of the rooms if needed.
We are very lucky to be able to share our rustic home, one of the 'classic villas' of old Ponsonby. It is a short walk from the bus stop along Jervois Road and the bus stop along Ponsonby Rd. Inner City and Outer city buses run along these lines.
We oldies spend most of our time in what we call 'the castle' - at the back of the house. We have been renting rooms in the main house for many years, most often to students or travelers.
Our home has a wonderfully warm atmosphere. We ask roomers to be respectful of the common space we share and of the various good
folks who come into and through our lives here at Trinity Street. We help each other to keep the common areas tidy. There is no smoking on the property. We have a shared kitchen which sometimes features goodies for all. You'd be surprised what comes out of the old gas cooker we continue to use...the stove, built in 1936, was here when we bought the house in 1978...it makes great pizza.
A small furnished room and a large furnished room are available now. We should mention that we have a cat (who, thankfully, doesn't meow a lot but loves a cuddle). If you are not allergic to cats, don't smoke or vape and have been vaccinated, and are interested, read on.
