Room description
We have a comfortable room available short term for a drug free couple, as one of our long term flatmates is leaving to live with family. $210 per week works out at just $15 each per night (inclusive of basic expenses) for stay up to 18 January! (After that negotiable).
The room is fully furnished, with lock on door, big windows and clean and tidy. It will be a great base for you for a few weeks while you holiday or look around for something long term.
You will not see much of the others here as we are all very independent.
Good location not far from Hornby Mall and Wigram. 2 local dairies and takeaways handy! 11 minutes to the airport and 10min to the city on the Southern Motorway. Free car parking inside the yard for a car or van. 3 bus routes close by the gate including bus 80 to Lincoln University/or Christchurch Hospital and City Centre, bus 125 to Christchurch Airport/or Halswell and bus 100 to the University of Canterbury.
We are looking for independent people who are prepared to clean up after themselves and respect others.
Room is furnished with built in wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, 2xchairs, heater and double bed.
Convenient kitchen and laundry, TV in dining area. We keep pungent cooking to a minimum to respect the others and do not allow mess in the kitchen. Personal items are stored in your own allocated cupboard space. There is a huge fridge with your own marked areas, oven, microwave, rice cooker, sandwich maker, and lots of pots and pans for everyone!
The rate includes power, TV, unlimited WiFi and basic daily essentials (tea/coffee, dish washing detergent, soap, laundry powder and tissues), so all you need is your own food and toiletries.
Quiet time before 6.30am and after 10.30pm.
NO illegal drugs (rooms are tested and safe). Smoking discouraged and strictly outside only.
Rent payable 2 weeks in advance. Bond 1week, refunded on departure as long as all is in order.
Some of our tenants, such as exchange students, have come for just a few months, but others stay much longer and some have gone home and later returned to stay again! We are independent people - workers or post graduate students from around the world. We are quiet and considerate and enjoy a smile and a greeting if we cross paths during the day. Some have the occasional smoke outside, or drink together if others are around and in the mood! You will find others to chat with in the kitchen at times, however we are mostly in our rooms online or chilling out.
